Malayalam superstar to play Narendra Modi in pan-Indian biopic; actor makes surprise announcement
Prime Minister Narendra Modi turned 75 today. On the occasion of the Prime Minister's birthday, Malayalam actor Unni Mukundan has made a major announcement. Taking to his social media pages, Unni announced that he will be playing the role of Narendra Modi in the upcoming biopic of the Prime Minister. The actor also released the title poster of the film, which will be made in seven languages, including Malayalam and Hindi. The film has been titled 'Maa Vande'.
Produced by Veer Reddy M under the banner of Silver Cast Creations, the pan-Indian film is directed by Kranthi Kumar CH. The film will feature events from the Prime Minister's childhood. Modi's deep bond with his mother, Heeraben Modi, will be the main highlight of the film.
'Having grown up in Ahmedabad, I first knew him as my Chief Minister during my childhood. Years later, in April 2023, I had the privilege of meeting him in person, a moment that left an indelible mark on me. As an actor, stepping into this role is overwhelming yet deeply inspiring. His political journey has been nothing short of extraordinary, but in this film, we aim to explore the man beyond the statesman, especially his profound bond with his mother, who shaped his character and spirit,' Unni Mukundan wrote.
