'Father-in-law secretly filmed my visuals while I was bathing, I was tortured and threatened'; BJP MP's sister lodges complaint against in-laws

NEW DELHI: Reena Rajput, the sister of Farrukhabad BJP MP Mukesh Rajput, has accused her husband's family of brutally assaulting her. In her complaint, Reena alleged that her father-in-law Singh, brothers-in-law Rajesh and Girish assaulted her and threatened to kill her. A video of the father-in-law beating up Reena using a stick is circulating on social media. The incident took place in Rani Avanti Bai Nagar.

She also alleged that the father-in-law and brothers-in-law secretly filmed her while she was bathing. The complaint also stated that the in-laws threatened her by pointing a gun at her and assaulted her using a stick. "It has been 17 years since our marriage. My in-laws have been harassing me for years as I have two daughters. They are trying to get rid of me. They also beat my daughter," Reena said.

Following the circulation of the video, police registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
