WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump once again claimed that he mediated a ceasefire between India and Pakistan during Operation Sindoor. Six or seven planes came down. However, he did not specify which country suffered the most damages.

'I have solved six wars in the last six months. I am proud of it. If you look at India and Pakistan, planes were shot down. Six or seven planes came down. They were on the verge of nuclear war, and we resolved it,' Trump said in his office the other day.

Trump had earlier claimed that he mediated a ceasefire agreement with Pakistan during Operation Sindoor, which India carried out in retaliation for the Pahalgam terror attack. However, the Centre had clarified that there was no foreign interference in Operation Sindoor.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also stated in the Lok Sabha that no country has asked for a halt to the actions against Pakistan. The Prime Minister said that the world has come to know about India's military strength through Operation Sindoor. The army hit 100 percent of its targets in Operation Sindoor. He had also stated that the terrorist camps were attacked and destroyed within minutes.

The Indian army has stated that at least 40 Pakistani soldiers were killed in the Indian attack. The army says that 100 terrorists, including top terrorists, were also killed. India attacked nine terrorist camps in Pakistan as part of Operation Sindoor.
