Some of the remarks of actor Tini Tom about Prem Nazir had stoked a controversy. Tini Tom said Nazir died because he was saddened by the loss of stardom and that he used to go to the houses of Adoor Bhasi and Bahadur every day and cry after applying makeup. The actor also said that he heard this from Maniyan Pilla Raju.

However, Maniyan Pillai Raju has now clarified that he has not said such a thing. He responded on the issue while talking to director Alleppey Ashraf on the phone.

‘These guys have never even met Nazir sir. He was not active in films when Nazir Sir was alive. I have acted with Nazir sir in ten or fifteen films. Moreover, I have said in interviews and functions that I have never seen someone as godlike as Nazir sir before or after that.

I would never say about Nazir sir like that. There are so many people here who admire him. Tini Tom should apologize. After two films, these people forget the past.
