ISLAMABAD: 10 Pakistani soldiers were killed when a military vehicle exploded in Margat, a suburb of Quetta, the capital of Balochistan, Pakistan, the other day. The vehicle carrying the soldiers was destroyed using an IED with the help of a remote controller.

The Baloch Liberation Army, which fights for the independence of Balochistan, claimed responsibility for the attack. The Liberation Army itself released footage of the explosion on its website.

"The enemy vehicle was destroyed in the explosion. All ten people in the vehicle, including Subedar Shehzad Amin, Naib Subedar Abbas, Sepoy Khalil, Sepoy Zahid and Sepoy Khurram Saleem, were killed," Baloch Liberation Army spokesman Gianand Baloch said in a statement.

The Baloch Liberation Army warned of more intensified attacks against the Pakistan army in the coming days. “The fight for freedom will not stop. We will continue to target the enemy with all our might,” they said.

Seven Pakistani soldiers were killed and four others injured in separate attacks in Balochistan on Thursday. The attacks took place in Samuran, Kolva and Kalat districts, and security posts were captured in some places, the organisation said in a statement.
