'Some people have messaged me saying I'm Honey Rose of serials'; charging exorbitant fees for inaugurations? actress Raksha responds
Actress Raksha Raj, who has become a favourite among Malayalis through television serials, is also a regular presence at inaugural events. Some even refer to her as the "Honey Rose of serials." Raksha addressed this comparison in a recent interview.
"Some people have messaged me saying I’m the ‘Honey Rose of serials.’ She (Honey Rose) has done a lot of inaugurations. When you look at it that way, we’re nowhere. Many people do inaugurations. I’ve done two inaugurations in a month. I’ve heard people say that I charge excessive amounts for inaugurations. But I don’t do that, and it’s made me feel a bit sad. I never charge exorbitant fees," the actress shared.
Raksha also opened up about a health scare she experienced while on a shoot in Kodaikanal.
"That day, we didn’t have any shooting. I had gone out and returned to my room. There had been a gas leak from the generator, but I didn’t know. I went to the washroom and came back, and suddenly I had a terrible headache. I told my dad, 'Looks like I’ve got a bad headache. Let me lie down for a bit.' My dad is someone who gets very anxious. If things get worse, he insists I take medicine.
While I was lying down, he thought of giving me some medicine so I could sleep and feel better when I woke up. But when he tried to wake me up to give me the medicine, both my eyes were wide open. Thinking it might be epilepsy or something serious, he called others from the nearby rooms. I have no memory of what happened. They took me to the hospital, and I was told that I was saved because I was taken there within five minutes.
You know how in movies we see people gasping for breath? I experienced that for real at that moment. The doctor said I survived purely by luck. In fact, someone from our group had passed away due to a similar incident," the actress said.
