Hotel employees brutally thrashed in Kazhakoottam for not giving way to auto

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Hotel employees were brutally thrashed for not giving way to an auto. Abhi and Divya, employees of Alsaj Hotel in Kazhakoottam, were thrashed brutally. The two were attacked last evening in front of the hotel at around 6:30 pm. The footage of the attack had emerged.

A dispute broke out in giving way to an auto that was coming from the opposite direction as the employees were leaving the hotel. When the employees returned to the hotel later, a local resident identified as Shaji came there and abused the employees and tried to thrash them. The others intervened and dispersed him. The complaint is that he later gathered people and attacked the employees. They hit Abhi on the head with a tile and injured him. It is reported that the wound has about ten stitches. When the employees fell down, the assailants kicked and punched them. Meanwhile, it is heard that Divya has fractured her hand. Both are presently undergoing treatment at the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College. The Kazhakoottam police have started an investigation based on the complaint filed by the employees.
