29-year-old cop, former gunman of Sreedharan Pillai, collapses and dies

KOZHIKODE: A policeman collapsed and died in the bus. He has been identified as Shyamlal (29) of Vadakara Muttungal Thekkemana. He was an official of the A R camp in Vellimadukunnu. He collapsed in the bus going to Kozhikode bus stand at 8 am this morning after night duty. His life could not be saved even though he was rushed to the hospital.

Shyamlal was gunman of P S Sreedharan Pillai while he was serving as the Governor of Mizoram. Shyamlal is the son of Rajan, member of CPM Onchiyam area committee.
