'Election defeat not the end, LDF will return soon'; Opposition leader Pinarayi Vijayan in Kannur

KANNUR: Opposition leader Pinarayi Vijayan kept hope of LDF soon returning to power and reiterated that the election defeat was not the end of communism in Kerala. He was speaking at a reception organised by the Left Front in his hometown in Kannur.

Pinarayi Vijayan said that every work during the last ten years was for the betterment of the state. Vijayan said that his initiatives, while being the CM of the state, yielded good results.

“The whole state should pay attention to the approach of the new government. If they work against the interests of the state, we will oppose them.

During the elections, some people spread a campaign that regime change was necessary for democracy to thrive. We are here and will not be cowed down at any stage. The leadership of CPM is intact, and there is no doubt that LDF will return to power soon,” said Pinarayi Vijayan.
