'Common people will suffer in upcoming economic storm'; Rahul Gandhi warns of tough times ahead

LUCKNOW: Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi amplified criticism against Prime Minister Narendra Modi for increasing fuel prices again in the country. Rahul warned of tough times ahead. The Congress MP made this statement while talking to the media in Rae Bareli, Uttar Pradesh. Rahul also made a jibe at the Prime Minister for frequently flying to foreign countries while asking citizens not to travel abroad due to the fuel crisis.

"I have been saying this for so long that Modi has changed the economic structure of India. An economic storm is coming. The Adani-Ambani elements will not last much longer. They will collapse. Unfortunately, the common man will suffer. These economic problems may not affect Adani, Ambani and Modi, but they will deeply affect the common man." Rahul said.

Fuel prices in the country increased this morning as the war continues to worsen in the Middle East. Petrol price was increased by 86 paise per litre and diesel by 83 paise per litre. This is the second time in four days that fuel prices have been increased.

With the new rate coming into effect, the petrol price in Thiruvananthapuram has increased to 111.71 paise. The diesel price crossed 100. In Kochi, petrol price has increased to Rs 109.60. The diesel price is Rs 98.45. In Delhi, petrol price has increased to Rs 98.64 and diesel price to Rs 91.58. In Mumbai, petrol price reached Rs 107.59 and diesel price Rs 94.08. In Kolkata, the new rate of petrol is Rs 109.70, and the diesel price is Rs 96.07. In Chennai, petrol price increased to Rs 104.49 and diesel price is Rs 96.11.
