Parassinikkadavu rape case: Girl’s father also under arrest

THALIPARAMBU: The police on Thursday arrested ten more persons in connection with the gang rape of a 16-year-old girl near at Parassinikkadavu. Shockingly, her father is also among the arrested persons. With, this the number of arrested persons has become 15.

Those arrested on Thursday are Vysakh (25), Jithin (30), Mohan (25), his relative K Sajin (25), Mridul (24), Nikhil (21), Akshay Thaliyil, Sharath Pathayil and Abdul Samad (21). The police added that two accused are absconding.

DYFI worker Mridul, who lured the girl using the fake FB account named Anjana and abused her, the girl's father were on Thursday handed over to Valapattnam police. The lodge manager Pavithran, Sandeep, Shamsuddhin, Shabeer and Ayub were produced in the court on Thursday.

Police also collected evidence from the houses of Sandeep and Jithu.

Shabeer who was arrested the other day had taken the girl in a new Tayota Liva car. The police have asked the accused to produce the car in the police station. The car used by the main accused, Sandeep, to transport the girl has also been taken into custody.

For four months from September 2017, Sajin and Shyam Mohan sexually abused the girl in a quarters at Kolmotta. Mridul, Nikhil and the girl's father sexually abused her at her rented house at Pappinissery. Jithu abused her at Mattol.
