Fire breaks out at plastic manufacturing unit in Thiruvananthapuram

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A fire has broken out at the manufacturing unit of 'Family Plastic' in Manvila, Thiruvananthapuram. Residents in the near by areas are being evacuated immediately. It has been reported that the fire broke out due to a short circuit. The fire force has reached the spot and started extinguishing the fire. No casuality were reported in the accident.

Fire had broken out in the same godown two days ago. The manufacturing unit is now being completely destroyed in fire. 18-year old Jayaram Raghu was admitted to the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College immediately as his condition became severe after breathing poisonous gas. Several fire engines are being brought from the airport to extinguish the fire. Minister Kadakampally Surendran and mayor V K Prashanth have reached the spot.
